After a several year hiatus, Dude asked to play soccer again. I got him all signed up and after a few days our new neighbor (who is on the soccer organization board) called Doctor and asked him to coach. I am so proud of Doctor for saying yes! He is INCREDIBLY busy right now, but he recognized how great this would be for him to have time with Dude. The team is very talented, Dude included. They are undefeated so far and are having a great time. (Dude is red #4)
Megaman started a "little kickers" soccer, also. He is pretty talented as well. So fun!

New Pets
Soon after moving here Dude went to play with a friend at his friends grandma's house. The friend's uncle had a salamander named Arlo that Dude instantly became attached too. A couple of weeks ago the uncle's wife called to and told us that they were moving and wouldn't be able to take the salamander and fish with them and asked if we would be interested. Would we?!?!? We surprised Dude. To say he was on cloud nine would be an understatement! We now have 1 dog, 1 salamander, 1 hermit crab, and 11 fish. Our pets outnumber us! Again, never say never!

Kid Comedy
Dude - The day before school started Dude was playing with his friends. When it was time to come in he said, "Gotta go, see you at the funeral." One of his friends asked "What funeral?" Dude replied, "For summer. He was a good friend, so sad. I'm really going to miss him!" His friends older brother replied, "Well played, Dude, well played."
Megaman - Megaman was playing with a toy figure. He asked me what character he was playing with. I had no idea and told him so. He replied, " But mom, you know everything!" Just keep thinking that Megaman!
We were playing at the park yesterday when it was time for another little boy to leave. His mom hollered at him that they had to go. The little boy said, "I aint going nowhere!" Megaman looked up, shocked at the reaction. Then you could see the wheels turn. The boy's mom let them play longer. When it came time for us to go, Megaman shouted, "I'm not going anywhere!" (I love that he corrected the grammar) I completely ignored it and started walking to the car. After taking about 5 steps, Megaman groaned loudly and said, "Alright, I'm coming." Love it.

House Progress
We are building again! Doctor had loved drawing house plans for as long as he can remember. He designed a beautiful home and we are really enjoying watching it come together. So far we have the basement and a portion of the main level framed. We had a summer of little to no rain so of course as soon as we start framing we have a downpour today. ;-) Oh well.
Time for School!
The kids started their new schools last Thursday.
Dude is in 5th grade now, wow! And in our new town that means, MIDDLE SCHOOL!!!! So crazy. He has a locker and changes classes, the whole nine yards. He has been doing great and I'm really proud of him. I even got a note yesterday from his math teacher that said he is the most polite student she has ever had!
Honey Bunch started 1st grade. She had to pose for the picture! She is very social and she can't wait to run out the door for school so she can be with her friends.
Megaman has to wait a another week for preschool, stay tuned.....

I Know I Know
I know that I haven't kept up with my blog. I neglected it mostly because I didn't need one more thing on my plate. I admit the last few weeks things have settled down, but the thought of trying to catch up was too overwhelming. So much has happened since April, so many great things. Maybe I will catch up and tell you about the amazing visit we had when my mom came in May. And Megaman's 4th birthday. And Honey Bunch's adorable music program. And Princess' class play where she was the best crow ever. And Dude's 4th grade field day. And our fun trip to Idaho Falls to see my wonderful grandparents. And our "happened too fast" trip to Boise. Our whirlwind visit in Salt Lake. And our move. Maybe I will, but forgive me if I don't. I'm going to start fresh.

Track Stars
The city we moved from had a city wide children's track meet this last spring. Dude was super excited to sign up. Megaman wanted to, but he was a year too young. The girls, most especially Princess, did not want me to sign them up. I was a mean mom and signed them both up anyway. The day of the meet, Princess was super angry that I had signed her up and refused to wear running clothes. When we got there she saw some friends practicing for the long jump so she went over. She tried her first jump and realized that she was really good at it. She was more than happy to compete then, and I turned into a smart mom.
The kids did great! Honey Bunch took first in all three events (50m race, softball throw, and long jump). There were only two girls in her group, but she did do well. ;-)
Princess had to compete with 3rd and 4th graders because of her October birthday. She took 1st in the long jump, 2nd in the 50m, and 3rd in the 100m.
Dude did great! He took 2nd in the 50m (only because another boy ran in his lane!), 3rd in the 100m, and 2nd in the long jump.
Doctor was so proud!!! They did such a great job, and it was really fun. I see many more track meets in our future!

Where has the time gone?
It's been over 2 months since I have posted!!! We have had so many exciting things happen in those two months, so I will be slowly catching up. While we were in Boise, we got new pics done by Hawkley Photography. She is amazing!!! Thanks again!!!
We are all moved in to our new temporary place and are excited for the next adventure. Bring it on!

Kid Comedy - Family Edition
When Princess was telling our family about her field trip, she told us about a cabinet filled with "old-fashioned fire distinguishers."
The other day we had an unexpected visitor in our attic. A BAT!!!! Doctor chased it away and Dude was on the hunt to find it. He was looking out the window and shouted that he found it hanging under the slide on the swingset. We all gathered around and stared at it for awhile. I decided to take a picture so that Honey Bunch, who is learning about bats in school, could show her class. I bravely walked out. As a got closer I realized the "bat" was really a piece of jump rope that was hanging under the slide!
I gave Honey Bunch a haircut the other day. It turned out super cute, I need to take a picture to put on here! Anyway, Doctor was out of town so I bobby pinned Honey Bunch's hair to my head and texted a picture to him with the caption, "I cut bangs!". Sweet husband texted back, "looks cute!" Either he is blind or a sweet liar!
Megaman and I went to story time at the library and they made the adorable masks. Isn't he the cutest little bunny?

I Love To See The Temple!
We had the amazing opportunity to go to the open house for a new temple built by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. It is a beautiful building! There is such peace and serenity in the temple. I'm so grateful for the sealing power that can unite families for eternity. I hope this was the first of many times my little family is in the temple together. We forgot the camera so these were taken with our phone. Not the best pics, but you get the idea. :)
