You look so posh, darling......
My girls love the Fancy Nancy books. This week while my mom has been here they have helping her be posh (a fancy way of saying fancy, according to fancy Nancy). They've been walking around calling everyone "darling" and eating with their pinkys up. Anyways......they had a makeover night, and this is how we all turned out.

Dude and a gun - oh no? Oh yes!
Dude and I got to go to a Mother/Son Stampede this last week. We had such an awesome time. I loved being able to spend time just he and I. He's such a fun guy. They had all kinds of activities set up. We took a hayride to the fun and then the first thing he wanted to do was make s'mores. He roasted the marshmallows for us and he did a great job.

Then we were off to decorate pumpkins. Of course he turned his into a Star Wars character. :)
After the pumpkins we watched the helicopter land. He even got to sit in the pilot seat.
He then raced his friends around the obstacle course.
After some hot dogs and chips it was off to the firing range. The wait time was 25 minutes, but he had fun in the line.
After a brief 30 second safety discussion he was firing his first be-be gun.
He was so proud of himself, and I have to admit that I was proud of myself for letting him do it. When we were driving home I asked him what his favorite part was. His reply? "Being with you, mom!" Aww shucks!!! Dude, I had so much fun, thanks for being you.

Kid Comedy
Here are some funny things that the kids have said:
Honey Bunch and Princess were playing dolls before bed. When it was bedtime I said, "Okay, little mommies, it's time for bed." HB looked up at me and said emphatically, "I'm NOT a little mommy. I'm a BIG mommy."
Princess and I were playing Barbies when she realized that we were missing a piece to the Barbie pool. This is the conversation she had with herself. "Now, where did I put that? Where did I put that?! I know I put it somewhere! Calm, down. Calm, down. It's okay. Think calmly. You can find it."

Great News!!!!
Thanks to everyone for your prayers and well wishes! We took Megaman to a cranial expert for a second opinion and there will be no need for surgery!!! Hooray! He has a very small anterior fontanel (soft spot) and some cranial overlapping of the metopic suture, but nothing that would require surgery. The overlapping of sutures is actually pretty common. Thanks again to everyone for your prayers, I am so grateful to a loving Heavenly Father who provided comfort and peace to our family. Regardless of our trials there is a sweet peace in knowing that there is an ultimate plan.

Please Pray for Megaman
Megaman had his 4 month checkup yesterday. He's growing fantastically and doing well. He's 15lbs 9oz and 25" long. Unfortunately his soft spot is almost completely closed and his metopic suture is almost fused as well leaving a small ridge in his forehead. This is the same problem that Dude had. The good news is that Dude's was closed at birth and was much more severe requiring surgery. Megaman's is still open so there is hope that we won't need surgical intervention. Please pray that we can fix this sans surgery. We are grateful for and love all who read this blog and thank you in advance for your prayers.

So fun, and Oh, Bummer!
Friday was a really fun day for our kids. The girls started a body movement class and a had a great time.

Then Dude had an early out for school so he invited a friend over and the friend's sister invited Princess to their house. They both had a blast. Later that afternoon Dude was supposed to start a football clinic that he was super excited about, but it was cancelled because of rain. Bummer! Hold good thoughts that the rain subsides next week and he can go!

Getting Big!
Megaman is getting so big! He's about 16 pounds now and has graduated from the bouncy seat to the megasaucer. We put him in it today for the first time and he LOVES it. We've also started feeding him rice cereal. He begs for food every time we sit down to eat. He tolerates the rice cereal but you know he wants the real stuff.
The girls are growing way too fast as well. The other morning they got themselves dressed in matching shirts and told me they were, "so fashion." I love it when they get along because they are so adorable together.
The other day Honey Bunch was pretending to ride a horse and was galloping around saying, "get me up, horsey!" (Instead of giddy up) Too cute.
