Lessons Learned From Fathers

I have some amazing fathers in my life. Here are a few lessons I have learned from them.

My husband is incredible!! He has taught me about diligence, perseverance, motivation, love, gratitude, and so much more. He stretches me and forces me, sometimes grudgingly, to go beyond my comfort zone. I have never met a soul who works harder than him. He teaches our children to work hard and efficiently. He teaches them to set goals and then work to achieve them. He is a strong leader and father. I am blessed beyond measure to call myself his wife and to be able to raise our children together.

My Dad is the ultimate Dad. Anyone can be a father, but it takes someone special to be a Dad. He's taught me to "think good thoughts, and good things will happen," "not sweat the small stuff and its all small stuff," "be where I'm supposed to be and do what I'm supposed to be doing," and "leave things better than when I found it." What a great dad I have!

My Grandpa S. has taught me about true love. He gave me my first example of how a man should love his wife. He taught me about finding joy in the journey of life and the value of serving your fellow man. I love you grandpa!

My Grandpa B. has taught me about loving people even when you don't have to. He chose to be a grandpa to me when it wasn't required of him. He's another great example of true love and I admire the love he has for his wife and his constant service on her behalf. Thanks for being you!

Happy Father's Day!

Oh Dolly, you are too sweet and I'm so very proud of you. I marvel at how the "3 rules" have had such an affect on you and the buddy, but don't forget the last rule - - "it's good to want"!

Love Dad
