Kid Comedy

Megaman - This is how he decided to eat his breakfast the other day.

Honey Bunch - Here's a cute conversation:
Me - What do you want to be when you grow up?
HB- A vegetable.
Me- What? Why do you want to be a vegetable?
HB - So I can take care of the dogs and cats!

Princess - Our home teacher came last week and he was giving a lesson about the Christmas story. He told the kids that there was no room for Mary and Joseph at the inn. He then asked if we have room for Jesus. Princess said, "Ya! In the basement!" (That's where our guest room is.) Hilarious!

Dude - I was listening to some country music and Dude came in and said, "What is this? Mom, is this even music?" Guess he's not a country fan.

Christmas Program, Santa, and Gingerbread

Dude's 2nd grade Christmas Program was last week. It was really cute and he did a great job. When I get a little more free time I'll post some video.

I also was feeling adventurous this weekend and bought a gingerbread house kit to make with the kids. They thought it was fun and that's what counts. :)

On Saturday we went to see the most creepy Santa I've ever seen. To make matters worse, he kept calling me "Madam." Yuck! I took pictures against my better judgement. At least the kids are cute.

Once There Was A Snowman

Last Saturday Doctor decided to brave the cold and teach all the neighborhood kids how to build a snowman. They were thrilled. I love how they just stood and watched in amazement.

Snow Day!

This last Wednesday was a snow day. I'm not terribly sure why, we only had about 1 1/2 inches on the ground. We still had a fun day. The kids were determined to play in the "snow" even though it was only about 10 degrees outside. I eventually made Dude come inside because I was afraid he would get hypothermia. :)
Oh, and by the way, Dude has his 3rd black eye in less than a year. This one involved a bike race, crash, and a neighbor's bike helmet.

And the best part of snow day? Megaman trying to get his own breakfast. Yum, Cocoa Puffs!

Family, Turkeys, and Football

We had such a fantastic Thanksgiving. Doctor's brother and his family came out to spend with the holiday with us. Dude was in heaven having his cousin here! They helped the kids make these cute cookie turkeys.

We even forced them to watch the BSU game, go Broncos! :)We are already looking forward to your next visit, thanks for making the trip!

Off to the Station

I took the kids to the fire station last month. What I learned is that Megaman is very timid and Honey Bunch loves to pose for pictures on the fire truck. Megaman did enjoy ringing the bell on the end of one of the trucks. :)

One of my new favorite things.....

The other day I had to take the kids to school and it was freezing outside. When I got back home I walked in the house to find this.

The fireplace is hooked to a thermostat and comes on all by itself. Glorious!

Handy AND Handsome!

Hands off ladies, this man is mine. :) I'm so lucky to have a husband who works so hard for us. He built these wonderful shelves back in November. He drilled holes in a board to store his screwdrivers, even. Genius!

Kid Comedy

My kids love to sing a song called "Jesus Wants Me For A Sunbeam." Whenever you sing the word "sunbeam" you are supposed to stand up. Well, my kids love to jump instead. Here's an adorable video of Megaman trying to do what all the big kids are doing. I apologize in advance for my atrocious singing!

Here's video of the battle between hunger and fatigue after church.

And in this battle, fatigue apparently won!

In Princess' kindergarten class, they were going around the room and saying what each child wants to be when they grow up. When it got to Princess, she said, "Oh, I'm not going to grow up. I'm going to stay at home with my mom forever." She held to it even after much persuasion from her teacher. Awwwww. :)

Catching Up.........

So October usually means birthdays and Halloween. This October though, I also learned the worst word in the English language. LICE!!!! Eeewwwwww! My poor two girls had some guests take up shop in their hair. So October also meant Honey Bunch got her first haircut. I would not wish lice on my worst enemy. Say your prayers this is our last visit.
This post is meant to catch up on all our October goings on. Enjoy!
Doctor and Princess both celebrated birthdays. Grandpa Greg, Grandma Patti and Great-Grandma Isobel came to help celebrate. Thanks guys, we had such a great time with you! We also had 12 princesses come to the ball. Fun, fun.

We went to the farm for a hayride and pumpkin picking. Megaman loved the horses.

Then, as is our tradition, we carved pumpkins for Family Home Evening last Monday. The kids design their jack-o-lantern and then Dad carves them. Our kids are pretty creative. I love that Princess drew eyelashes and freckles on hers.

Doctor had to work on Halloween so we missed him terribly. We did have fun, though. We went to two trunk-or-treats, two carnivals, and went trick-or-treating around the neighborhood. Needless to say we have way too much candy at our house. We had a Snake Eyes Ninja, Mulan, Purple Tinkerbell Fairy, and an elephant.
