Well, shut my mouth

Yesterday I went in my room and Dude was standing by my closet with a mischievous look on his face. I told him (in a stern voice) that he knew better than to be in to be in my closet. He had a sad look on his face and walked out. Later when I looked in my closet, I saw this.
I felt horrible! He had started organizing my shoes. I have such a sweet boy. Thanks, Dude, you rock. :)

And here is a picture of my other sweet boys.

You'll Never Believe It!!

At least I didn't until my mom showed me the proof. I took the girls to the store and when we came back Dude told me that Megaman rolled over! What?!?! He's two weeks old, today. No way. Then I burst into tears because I missed Honey Bunch rolling over for the first time (at 5 weeks), and now I've missed Megaman's first roll. Luckily my mom caught it all on film. Apparently he rolled 3 times from his tummy to his back before they got the camcorder out. He's shy and it took my mom turning off the camera to get him to do it. She turned it back on just in time. Yes, my children are GENIUSES!

Latest Installment of Kid Comedy

I've been a slacker lately as far as blogging goes so we have quite a collection of kid comedy.
We'll start off with Honey Bunch. Well, this one is more sweet than funny. The cub scouts were putting on a rummage sale and Honey Bunch and I went to help them set up. There were a lot of toys and she was playing and having a good time. She came across a Disney Princess play set with jacks, a pinwheel, and a paddle ball thing. She grabbed it raced to me and asked if we could buy it for Princess, because it was her favorite. It was so sweet and I told her we could, but we should pick out something for Dude as well. She searched and found a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle kite. Then of course I told her to pick something for herself and she picked a toy washing machine. The best part was that she was more thrilled to give the kids their presents then she was to have something for herself.

Then Grandma gave each of the kids a dollar for the dollar store and Dude and Princess were talking about how there was a picture of George Washington on it. Honey Bunch came up and said that she got a dollar with a picture of "George Washing Machine." It was adorable!

Now for Princess. For Mother's Day at church the kids were given a book to fill out all about their moms. There were about 15 things to fill out. Princess' was completely blank except for one thing. "My mom likes to drink Pepsi!" Hilarious. I don't even drink Pepsi. :)

I had finished feeding Megaman, and I put him up on my shoulder to burp him. She asked me if he was done eating, and I said yes. She then told me I needed to "put the cap back on." (I hadn't had a chance to cover myself yet.)

Now for Dude. We went to the pediatrician for his annual check-up. The nurse showed him the eye chart and told him she was going to need him to read it for her. She pointed to a line and asked him to read it. He then told her it was too hard. She pointed to the next line up and he told her it was too hard. At this point I was panicking and thinking he was going to need glasses. She then pointed to the next line up. He then said something to the effect of, "jerpikzooejfo." He was actually trying to READ the eye chart. So funny. Once he realized he only needed to say the letters he did perfectly.

We were in the car the other day and a song came on called The River of Jordan. Dude began singing at the top of his lungs, "I crossed over the river of Norman."

This is the Mother's Day poem Dude wrote for me at school:

Mom

Cares

Loves Me

Wears Lipstick

Has Babies

Lets Me Vacuum

Sometimes Wears Flip Flops

I love her!

And here's the latest in the Dude Shower Concert Series (My favorite part is when he starts tapping his foot):

Just a quick update.....

We are all doing great. Little Megaman is so cute and he is very consolable. He only cries during his diaper changes. We're still adjusting to the lack of sleep, but hopefully that will be short term. He likes to roll on his side, and he actually gets really close to rolling over. Here are a few pics of our little guy.

Fun on the Farm

Today was the annual trip to the farm. Usually it is in the Fall, and the kids get to pick a pumpkin. This year, though, was a really bad year for pumpkins, so they rescheduled for the spring. Princess and Dude were both in school so Honey Bunch and I got to spend some one-on-one time together. The best part was that she kept calling it the pharmacy. She cracks me up.
We saw tractors, horses and cows.

Honey Bunch's favorite part was the hayride. She got to sit next to her best buddy.

Instead of letting us pick a pumpkin, she got to plant pumpkin seeds. We'll see how well we do growing pumpkins. She also had quite the dandelion bouquet to take home.

List is Done!

Awhile back I posted a list of things I wanted to get done, and I'm proud to say that they are all done!! Hooray! The best part is that I only did two of them, and Doctor was able to do the other two. I lucked out and didn't have to tape and plaster around the new light or plant grass seed. I did unclog the dryer vent and put together the bassinet. I'm really proud of myself. I only put it together backwards twice. :)

Positively Joyful!

Dude had his Kindergarten music program last week and it was awesome! Their music teacher did a great job putting it together. It was a patriotic themed program. They did 5 songs, here's a snippet. You may recognize the first song from Dude's shower concert. I'm already excited for next year. (Dude is in the 4th row down, second red shirt after the blue star shirts)

So sweet!

My little girls have been incredibly sweet lately. I absolutely love it. Yesterday Honey Bunch gave Princess a big hug and said, "We best friends!" Usually Princess brushes Honey Bunch away, but this time she hugged back and said, "I love you, too Honey Bunch." Then this morning when she was putting on her shoes, Princess said, "Mom, when I grow up, I hope I'm just like you, because I love you." Oh, melt my heart. I hope she still feels that way when she is 15. :) And lastly, we were at the store on Saturday and Princess was telling me that she loves Barbies and Princesses. I asked if she knew what I loved. She said, "Yeah, me!" I asked how she knew that I was going to say that. Her reply? "Because your my mom and you are very smart." I love it.

Dude's White Shirt

I've mentioned before that we have a tradition on the kids birthday's to take a picture of the girls in my wedding dress and the boys in one of Doctor's white shirts. After we took Dude's six year pictures, I decided that I wanted to compare all the pictures. I was devastated when I couldn't find his 4 & 5 year pictures. Doctor is certain that they are somewhere on our computer, but we can't find them. SO SAD. Anyways....here are the ones for every other year. My how they grow! (The last two are from this year)
