Lucky for us Doctor loves to have a project! He is building some bookshelves in our basement right now. He just has a few finish pieces to nail on and then paint them. Hooray for a place to put the hundreds of books he bought over the summer!!!!

Princess' first tap performance!
Princess had her first tap dance performance on Saturday! She did a great job! It was almost impossible to get video/pictures because she was actually performing for a church function so we couldn't be in front to take the pictures. I'm sitting on the floor on the side trying my best, so sorry for the poor videography. I had to cut the video short, too, so the file would be small enough to post. Oh, and I couldn't get a picture of her whole class, there were about 10 kids. One of the kids couldn't make it, so her teacher stepped in.

Let the Christmas Season Begin!
The Christmas season can now officially start thanks to a little Christmas miracle. Well, miracle may be a strong word but I am super happy just the same. When I was growing up my mom had a cassette tape of the Braun Family singing Christmas In These Idaho Hills. Every year we would listen to it while we decorated the Christmas tree. It wasn't Christmas to me until we listened to it. Well, when I got married and moved away I wanted to buy the tape but couldn't find it anywhere. My mom made me a copy but it was poor quality at best. Every year I wished for the Braun Family to sing in the Christmas season. Last year I got the brilliant idea to google it and try and find it. I was unable to find the music but I happened upon the email of Muzzie Braun, of the Braun family. I emailed him my sweet story of growing up with his music and wanting to purchase a CD so that my kids could have the same memory. What I got in reply was something along the lines of, "Sorry but it is no longer available for sale." I was crushed. Well, tonight I was checking my email and noticed a message in my inbox from Muzzie informing me (and everyone else in his contact list, but I like to think of it as just for me) that Christmas In These Idaho Hills was now available!!!! Oh the joy!!!! I didn't waste a second before downloading it and have listened to it several times already.
Here's the link to download it yourself

It's only $6.99 for the whole album and, at least according to me, it's the best seven bucks you can spend on Christmas music. Your welcome. ;-)
No, they didn't pay me to advertise, but they should, right? Enjoy!

Kid Comedy
Honey Bunch came up to me the other day and said, "Mom, don't make a mountain out of pneumonia!"
Megaman is trying hard to be potty trained. He was sitting on the toilet and trying so hard to go. He said, "Mom, can you help me?" When I said that he needed to do it he said, "Can you just push the button on my bottom?"
Doctor was trying to throw something in the trash and missed. Megaman shouted, "What the heck, Dad! Are you a doctor?" We are really enjoying the terrible two's. ;-)

Much to be thankful for...
We had a very nice Thanksgiving break. On Wednesday we took a little road trip for some shopping and to go to a fun indoor playground. I even got in on the action! The best part was having Dad with us.

On Thursday we prepared/ate/cleaned a turkey feast. It was a quiet, relaxed day. We played a 3 hour game of Life on the Wii in the evening and just enjoyed being together.
On Friday Doctor and the girls headed out for Black Friday. This has become a treasured tradition for Princess and Honey Bunch joined in this year. I won't mention how Friday ended. Well, maybe just to say the we are still Bronco fans.
Saturday we journeyed to Nauvoo to go to the temple. It was a gorgeous drive and the kids were fantastic the entire day.
On Sunday we went to church and then set up the Christmas decorations. I did a pretty tree this year.
JUST KIDDING....who could ignore the family memories on memory tree. I get it now, Mom. :)

Dude is one busy Dude!
Wow! That's all I can say when I think about all that Dude is doing right now. On top of the regular things... school, Tae Kwon Do, and running around the neighborhood Dude has been busy. He has been working on a report for school on Germany and we received a note from his teacher informing us that he needed to make a doll and dress it in authentic looking German clothing. Oh, and the doll would need to be turned in in 4 days. WHAT!?!?! Thanks goodness he made a doll (I mean ninja) over the summer!! We found some foam that looked like leather and made some leiderhosen. He turned it in yesterday and I think he did a great job!
Dude is also performing as one of the king's children in the High School production of "The King and I." The performances start tonight and run through this weekend. He does very well. Here's a pic of a few of the sons before dress rehearsal.
After dress rehearsal last night, we headed to pack meeting where Dude received his Wolf Badge. Way to go Dude!!!! Here's a pic of him pinning a wolf pin on me and then moving up the ladder.

And when I was uploading the pictures from last night I discovered around 40 pictures of lego creations and 4 "movies" that Dude made. They were pretty funny and if he didn't say his real name a bazillion times I would upload one. He's a movie director in the making. Here is one of the pics, though. I thought this one was funny because he took a picture with the ruler so you can tell how tall it is.

Spooky Surprises!
Note that the title isn't fun surprises! Here is our first spooky surprise:

Yes, it is a coffee machine with coffee and tea. Hum.....why would we have such items? They were sent to us. By whom you ask? By the person who stole our credit card. How thoughtful. :)
Yesterday we got another Halloween surprise when a coyote showed up in our backyard. YIKES!!! I got these pictures as it was running away. If you click on them you can see it in better detail.

Trick-or-Treated Out!
The town we live in is wonderful, especially at Halloween time. There are a million things to do (slight exaggeration). Of course you can't make it to everything, but we sure tried. We had a Samurai, a Ghost Bride, the Queen of Hearts, and a Nascar driver. It all started on Thursday when Honey Bunch went trick-or-treating with her preschool at the High School.
Then on Friday we went to a fun event put on by a club at the local university. The college students dressed up as Bible characters and we went door to door, heard a quick bible story and then got candy.
On Saturday morning we got up and went to a Trunk-or-Treat sponsored by a spouse group for the med school. Then on Saturday afternoon we went to a Halloween carnival at the YMCA. There aren't a lot of pictures of Dude because he was too cool to hang out with his family this year.

Then Saturday night we went to a Trunk-or-Treat/carnival at the church. By the end of the night the costumes looked like they were a million years old. (Again, another slight exaggeration) Even our car was worn out. The battery died when we tried to leave! And this is what Megaman looked like when we went to the store.

Off to the farm, again and again and again.......
All of my kids had the opportunity to go the farm this fall and we also went as a family to a pumpkin patch/farm (minus Dad who had to work.) I forgot the camera when I went with Princess and Honey Bunch, bummer! But I did remember with Dude (see the stampede post) and Megaman. Here's the adventure with Megaman who did not enjoy the hayride! Oh, and a side note, he is a boy after my own heart. When they said that he could pick a pumpkin, he went straight to the first one he saw and only wanted that one. Sound familiar?

Here's a pic from the pumpkin patch. The kids also got to shoot a corn cannon and Dude actually shot a cow on accident. It was pretty funny.
I'll put this pretty picture of the girls, too, since I didn't post pics of their farm trips.
