Awwww!
Doctor's dad came for a visit this weekend. It was wonderful to see him, we had a blast. Thanks, grandpa! While he was here he took these pictures of Megaman. Oh my goodness, is he not SO adorable?

What were you doing 3 years ago?
I had a sweet little baby who is now a sweet little girl. Wow, three years have gone by fast! Honey Bunch's asked if we could celebrate at Burger King with her best friends, Princess, Landon, and Jackson. They are so adorable together. Thankfully their mom let them come with us. It was kind of a daunting task, but they were all so well behaved, phew! After Burger King we headed home for cupcakes. The pictures are dark, sorry!

Later that night we told HB that we could go to dinner anywhere she wanted. Princess and Dude kept trying to persuade her so we kicked them out and discovered that she wanted Pizza Hut. After dinner we came home for more cupcakes and to open presents. Princess had been very busy the last few weeks making as many cards as she could for Honey Bunch. Here are a few of them.
She was spoiled rotten by her grandmas, here she is modeling her goods, she absolutely loves all of them! Thanks!

Shootin' Hoops
Dude started basketball a few weeks ago, and he's awesome! He's got skills. :) He shoots baskets like a walk in the park and is a dribbling fool. We just need to work on using those skills during actual games. He's on a 1st & 2nd grade team and he is the only 1st grader, so he's kind of timid during the games. He loves it, though, and it seems like a good fit for him. I'm super proud of him. I love going out in the driveway and practicing with him, I hope he enjoys that as much as I do.

Do you have 5 minutes?
I just discovered a new you tube site that is awesome! The site is http://www.youtube.com/MormonMessages Here is the description:
Mormon Messages is a channel with video clips from the Mormon Church. Each week, Mormon Messages provides short video segments about the Church's basic beliefs, as well as inspiring stories and messages of hope. Watch these gospel-centered videos and then share them with family and friends. (This is an official channel of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.)
I just watched a touching story told by Gordon B. Hinckley that I highly recommend, it takes about 4 minutes. Enjoy!

Kid Comedy
Mary, Mary, Quite Contrary as recited by Honey Bunch:
Mary, Mary, quiet and scary
How does your garden grow?
With silver bells and taco shells and pretty May's all in a row

Holy Smokes Batman!
I washed all the towels today and forgot to bring them back upstairs after they were dry. I remembered, of course, when it was time to get the girls out of the bathtub and there weren't any towels. Lucky for me, Doctor was home so I asked if he would run downstairs and get the towels. He was gone forever. When I went to holler at him and make sure he was okay, I heard quite a bit of ruckus in the basement. He came up and informed me that we had a house guest. There was a bat in our basement! My all-star husband smacked it with an empty Wii box and escorted it outside. His comment when he came back upstairs was, "I hope he doesn't freeze out there." What? Sympathy for a home invading bat? Sorry, none from me. Good news though, I have an excuse to not do laundry tonight. :)

Move Over Martha!!!!!
My mom calls Princess "little Martha" because she is so like Martha Stewart. This last weekend Princess announced that she was throwing a disco party and gave us all invitations. She then made decorations complete with a homemade disco ball. She then told me that I had an appointment with her to "get fancy." She did all of our hair and even picked out our clothes. She made Dude wear a tie, but somehow it got lost before the start of the party. When the time of the party arrived, she had us sign her guestbook. Then we rocked out while she sang disco music. We had a blast. I'm sure this is the first of many parties to be planned by the amazing Princess. I can't wait for the next one.

Go Broncos!
For an early Christmas present Doctor bought a Boise State flag. Since we don't have a place to hang it outside, we hung it in the window. We got all dressed up in our blue and orange for the last game of the season. Everything was great....except for the game. :) We're still fans, though. Here's a picture during the last game of the almost perfect season.
Look Who's Standing!
Megaman is a mover and a shaker. He was born ready to move around. He's been crawling for awhile now, and within the last week he's started pulling himself up on the furniture. He gets super frustrated because he thinks he should be able to walk and is constantly falling down. I'm pretty impressed considering he is only 7 1/2 months! Here is a picture of him "helping" with the dishes (apparently a theme lately).

The Innocence of Youth
I know, I know, its been two weeks since I have blogged, but I have plenty of excuses. I have several "blogs in waiting" (i.e. Christmas, New Years, Princess rockin' party, Dude's school play), keep watching in the coming days for those. For now, I have to blog about the innocence of children. This morning when I was checking my email Dude came in the room and saw a picture on Yahoo of the fighting in the Middle East. He asked me about it and this is the conversation we had.
Me: There are some people in different countries that are fighting.
Dude: Why?
Me: Well, there are two groups of people who each think that they should own a piece of land. Kind of like if you and your sister each thought that a toy was yours so you fought about who's toy it is.
Dude: You would tell us to share and find a way to get along. Can we send them a letter and tell them they need to share and get along?
Me: I wish it were that simple. They've been fighting for so long I'm not sure a letter would help.
Dude: Maybe no one has tried. I'll write them a letter.
I wish the rest of the world saw everything in such simple terms. Maybe then we could all remember to share and get along.
Then, later today Dude asked me if he could do the dishes. Um.....Yes!!! He ran to Princess and said, "I can't believe Mom is trusting me to do the dishes! Wow! This is SO awesome!" Yes it is. :)
