Oh Happy Day!

Here are some things that made me smile yesterday -

*My brother called me yesterday and gave me the BEST idea for what to give Doctor for Christmas. I got off the phone and ordered it right away. I'm super excited about it, now I have to wait a month and a half to give it to him. He's going to love it. Doctor always gives me the most sweet and thoughtful gifts, now I have something to compete with. Yeah!!! Thanks, Bud, you rock!

*When I emptied the dishwasher I noticed a sippy cup full of milk that had been placed there by my sweet Honey Bunch. I obviously didn't realize it was in there before I started it, but I'm kind of glad I didn't. It gave me a chance to smile knowing that my sweet little girl was "helping" me do the dishes.

*A couple of weeks ago I accidentally almost burned my house down in a little "crock-pot incident." (We are ok, the crock-pot was not) I was forced to get a new crock-pot and, boy oh boy, I had no idea what I've been missing out on! We got our old one when we got married and thought it was great and would last a while longer. I'm so glad we got a new one! Everything we have eaten has tasted so good! Who knew our old one was crappy? Hooray for delicious crock-pot food!

*Megaman got his first tooth!! None of my kids' teeth have erupted in the "normal" pattern, and Megaman is no exception. His first tooth is an upper front tooth. My grandpa always says that every crow thinks theirs is the blackest so take this next comment with that in mind. Every time we say something to MM about his new tooth he smiles and giggles and gives this look like, "I'm SO cool!" He is so proud of himself, its adorable.

Smile awhile, and while you smile another smiles, and soon there's miles and miles of smiles, and life's worth while because of your smile.

I love this post. Thanks for sharing some of your "happy moments". I love the milk in the dishwasher. Too funny. And I'm thinking maybe you should share what you are going to get Doctor because I have no idea what to get Karston for Christmas.

Okay so sad - my comment didn't make it and this is a redo - not the original though. Your kids are always so funny - I love the kid comedy and the video is so cute. We have thought a little about heading that direction next spring/summerish. We'll see. Anyway I'm curious what you got docto. Someone in the last couple days said to engrave names on things cause then they can't return them - it'd be good for a laugh. Anyway We love you guys!

This Touched Me....If it does you then please repost this bulletin

WHO WE ARE
(A Thanksgiving Thought)

If the earth's population were shrunk into a village of 100 people, what would it look like?

57 would be Asian
21 would be European
14 would be from the Western Hemisphere
8 would be African
52 would be Female
48 would be Male
70 would be Non-White
70 would be Non-Christian
30 would be Christian
6 would possess 59% of all the wealth & they would be from the U.S.
80 would live in substandard housing
70 would be unable to read
50 would suffer from malnutrition
1 would be near death
1 would be pregnant
1 would have a college education
1 would own a computer

Think of it this way. If you have a good home, can read and have plenty to eat, you are a member of a select group. If you have that and also own a computer, you are one of the elite.

If you have never experienced the danger of battle, the loneliness of imprisonment, the agony of torture or the pangs of of starvation, you are ahead of 500 million in the world.

If you can attend a church meeting without fear of harassment, arrest, torture or death, you are fortunate. More than three billion people can't. If you have food in your refrigerator, clothes on your back, a roof overhead and a place to sleep, you are richer than 70% of this world. If you have money in the bank, in your wallet, and spare change in a dish someplace, your are among the top 8% of the worlds' wealthy.
